Artist: Christopher Rau & Marieu Label: Out Electronic Recordings Released: 22 Dec 2015 Genre: Electronic. Tracklist: Grip Aux Sidewalk Romeos General Fail Virginiatlantic. Germany's Out Er Records has been resting on the fringes of house and techno ever since their release back in 2011. The majority of the label's output has come from European artists, most of them from the Berlin-school of dance music. This time it's a head-to-head between Smallville's Christopher Rau and Analogue Cop, Marieu.

Simone Gatto - Holzwege Ep (Legowelt remix). Badly Drawn Boy - Being Flynn. In uscita il 28 settembre 2015 via Out-ER, Sidewalk Romeos è l’EP di esordio del progetto Colours of Observation, duo composto da Marieu ( The Analogue Cops ) e Christopher Rau ( Smallville ). di Luca Roncoroni. Colours of Observation. What We’ve Lost music from Out-ER space.

The collaboration between Hamburg-based producer Rau and Marieu, one-half of hardware techno group The Analogue Cops, came out of a live session. As such, Colours Of Observation won't come as a total surprise to eagle-eyed fans-they debuted with a set at OHM back in May and followed with another gig in southern Italy last month. As for the tunes, Out-ER, a Berlin imprint which acted as an early champion of The Analogue Cops, says the joint debut strikes "a fair balance between the sweet deep house from Rau and the analogue, old-school inspired upbeat techno from Analogue Cops.

Christopher Rau: Sidewalk Romeos is a graffiti painting in Berlin. When I step out of my house, I see it every day. I’ve liked street art since I was young, so I always observe graffiti as if I’ve never seen them before. This tag was inspiring to us, we can say everyone owns a little percentage of Sidewalk Romeos. I feel like a Sidewalk Romeo too, as I enjoy side walking when I have free time. Marieu & Christopher Rau: There’s not a unique source of inspiration as our music arrives from daily happenings that we’ve been sharing during our friendship. It’s really spontaneous. Living in Berlin, I’m not surprised that labels release mostly obscure music. As The Cops, we’re releasing an EP on Noho Records and another one on Bosconi Records, very soon. Christopher Rau: During September, I have some gigs coming up in Germany and France. As a producer, I’ll let the labels speak for me!

As debut EP for OUT-ER they delivers a retro futuristic techno journey which still preserves their drum tidiness, adding life with locked, melodic dub arpeggios and harmonic pads. The Berlin--based duo - created by Marieu, one half of The Analogue Cops, plus Smallville adept Christopher Rau - featured for the first time in early may 2015, during a label showcase taking over at OHM (Tresor). Their contribution for the italian house & techno record label are four original raw, vehement tracks unifying both musical imprints into the sixteenth' label release.
